(Radio-Canada)
This week the full team is here, joining me on this snowy day--Friday and all weekend a major snowstorm is blowing across Ontario, Quebec and the maritimes with anywhere from 20 to 40 cm of snow falling.... but in our warm studion this week are Marc Montgomery,  Wojtek Gwiazda and Lynn Desjardins

In this edition we hear about what Canada's outgoing environmental commisioner has to say about Canada's prepardeness for a major oil spill, and about a lack of oversight of mining operations and their actions in terms of the environment.

Then, we know obesity is a major issue in North America, and elsewhere...and this week another story of some very interesting research taking place in Canada, this time involving stem cells. This research  may some day lead to a non-invasive and easy treatment for the morbidly obese.

Also in the field of health, we have a story that many people might not be nearly as healthy as they think they are, especially the baby boomers, those people whose age ranges from roughly their late 40's to late 60's

And if you want to curl up with a good book, a political thriller... we hear of a new fictional novel offering from an investigative reporter
who covers politics in the nations capital , ottawa

Next, a brief glimspe of an interactive web documentary produced in collaboration with RCI, looking at the suburban community of Brossard just across the river from Montreal, where one in ten residents is Chinese.  The web-doc is called Brossard Chinatown.

and we also read some of your comments that we've received this week. I Hope you enjoy show 33, and as always we love to get your feedback, either via email, or posted directly to each story on the site.
