we hear from one of the winners of the prestigious Governor-General's Literary Awards

while on the environmental front, a professor in a northern Ontario mining town is proposing we take a look at using the warm water from mine sites as a relatively low cost, and carbon neutral source of heating and cooling energy

and the 100th anniversary of the Grey Cup championsip game in the Canadian Football League is coming up next week. It will be hosted by the city of Toronto, and there are lots of events and festivities being organized in conjunction with that historic event
