(Parks Canada/Dan Rafla)
It is said that person cannot be half-pregnant, but apparently a grizzly bear can be. Bears mate between May and July but the female bear won’t get truly pregnant until November. To find out how that happens, RCI’s Lynn Desjardins spoke with Steve Michel, the human-wildlife conflict specialist at Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains of western Canada.
Arts and Culture #14- author Rob Stewart
This week, a non-fiction book called "Save the Humans". Its a bit of a biography of Canadian Rob Stewart and his personal transition from wildlife and marine photographer, with a special interest in sharks, to environmentalist and documentary filmmaker.

The message however is simple, for environmentalists fighting individual causes, while certainly worthy, there is a much bigger picture to worry about, and for everyone, sit up and take notice that something vary serious is happening to our oceans, and without healthy oceans, all life on earth is in danger.

Also I have an autographed copy to give away, listen to the interview for details. As always, all comments are welcome either email, on the site, or in Canada, to our toll-free answering line.
