Welcome to the Link Online, show #12.

Today  we hear about security issues for Canadian diplomats in the wake of tragic deaths of American diplomats in Libya, and violence elsewhere in Islamic countries directed against US and other western embassies as the German embasy in tunis is ransacked.

We also hear about a paritcular psycological tecnique of interrogation used by police called the Ried technique, used to pressure suspects into confessions. In Canada, judges have now dismissed cases where police have used this method to get prisoners to admit to crimes.

Nuclear power is always controversial, and critics are welcoming news that the central province of Quebec amy soon close its only nuclear power reactor. Althgouh shutting it down does not mean the costs end.

And several Canadian cities will be holding "Freedom Relays" to raise funds to help victims of human trafficking.

As always we welcome your comments, through the website at the bottom of each story, via email, or if in Canada through our toll-free voice mail number
