Advancing asthma research: World Asthma Congress
The 21st World Congress of Asthma takes place this weekend in Quebec City Canada. Research and health care specialists from countries around the world including many from Canada will be attending.

One of the many Canadians delivering papers on their research is Dr Malcolm Sears, professor in the respirology division at the St Joseph Healthcare centre at Hamilton’s McMaster University.

RCI’s Marc Montgomery spoke with him about asthma research, current knowledge, and the importance of these world gatherings of experts.






Effects of drought in North America will be felt by Canadian consumers

The unusual summer drought this year will likely mean higher prices for suppliers and consumers in the long run.

Gilda Salomone spoke with cattle farmers Chris Judd and Gib Drury, with Brian Perillat, of Canfax, a division of the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association and with David Wilkes, spokesperson for the Retail Council of Canada.
