Ciao UK - A warm welcome from Bing

A warm welcome from Bing™ and some updates from the community team Dear Ciao member shristees, As you might have noticed, after the beta period of Bing in the UK, ciao.co.uk launched a new look and feel of its homepage with a design that is very much aligned to Microsoft's decision engine: Bing. Some new exciting and helpful features are now available after the relaunch of Bing and further integration of Ciao UK, Bing's exclusive product information and shopping channel. Bing Facts Community Updates Review Writing Competition Service Not yet familiar with Bing? Bing is a search experience with a fresh new look and feel that helps you find what you´re looking for more quickly and easily. It gives you better UK results than ever before and will constantly evolve to give you a better search experience through a range of innovative features including: shopping - Ciao, Europe's leading community and opinion platform, is Bing's exclusive shopping platform where Ciao members and Bing users can find the best advice, offers and personal reviews on over 7.7 million products. instant answers - Get quick and instant access to the information you need like maps, weather, football results and  attractions. An additional product answer functionality was created to offer users a more visual experience when searching for a product within Bing. Commerce results will bring back an image result which showcases Ciao's price comparison and review functionality in the Bing search result page. maps - find all you need in one place. Bing maps has a wide range of map styles and features. best match - selects the best match for the most popular web sites so you go right to the information you want on your favourite retailer or online service. image search - refine your image search by size or layout to find the perfect picture. video search - with inline video preview that lets you preview and watch videos directly from the results page. visual search  - instead of a list of text, you'll see visual references of the pages you want grouped behind a picture.  categorised search - See all searches related to your search, all in one go. local search - Looking for great services in your area? Plumber in Putney, Cake shop in Cornwall? Bing can help. Bing's local search lets you find, review and book restaurants with Top Table all in one session.  Click here to take a look. Some community updates We also wanted to inform those Ciao members who are missing the ratings on the review page that they are not really gone. You can still view them if you hover your mouse cursor over the block "xxx Ciao members have rated this review on average exceptional" (put in your rating). You can find this block directly below the review title and the orange stars for overall rating. Hovering will display a bubble with the same information as before (please remember to activate Javascript). It could take a while before the page of your review is updated and, consequently, the rating window could not show up immediately online. Our community is working real hard to make sure you are satisfied throughout the integration process.   Bing and Ciao UK review writing competition We would like to know what you think of both Bing UK and Ciao UK new design. The best three reviews written on each topic will be awarded with £10 for a 1st place, £7 for a 2nd place and £5 for a 3rd place*. *A total of six winners will be selected based on the ranking of their reviews. Names will be announced on our community section, Social Media News and Twitter profile 14th December. Existing members and new members will participate equally. Reviews received after 13thDecember will not be included in this promotion. Video reviews and quick reviews will not be considered in this competition. We hope you like the new version of Bing UK.
